The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience is feeling the pinch of the current economic slump as visitor numbers have fallen by 14%.

Over 620 thousand visitors have been to the Cliffs between January and August of this year but figures were down 34,000 in June and down 25,000 in August.

The family of a Clare woman who died after botched plastic surgery begin a multi million dollar lawsuit in New York next week.

Killaloe Native Kay Cregan died on the 17th of March 2005, three days after undergoing a facelift at the Manhattan Clinic of Dr Michael Sachs in Central Park South.

Waste Management firm signs Shannon Airport contract

Dublin-based Greyhound Recycling company has signed a deal to supply waste management services to Shannon airport.

The three year contract, will commence in September and comprises waste management solutions for Shannon airport too.

The company also has a materials recovery facility in Galvone Industrial Estate in Limerick.
